Género: Melodic Death Metal

Para volver con las discografias a la página les traigo esta genialisima banda Sueca de Melodic Death Metal, tal vez uno de sus principales iconos, y que es sin duda de mis favoritas del género.

La banda es creada por Martin Eriksson, Anders Fridén y Anders Jivarp, los ultimos dos miembros de Inflames tambien. La banda es caracteristica, por ser una de las pioneras en poner el sonido de Melodic Death Metal en el mundo musical, sus amplios usos de teclados, musica totalmente melodica y guturales bien formados, le dan a Dark Tranquillity un titulo bastante imponente.

La banda empieza su carrera con un par de Demos, nada fuera de lo comun, pero al llegar su primer lanzamiento en 1993 llegan a terrenos musicales nunca antes vistos. Con un sonido impecable, claramente visible en canciones como Crismon Tears, dan la apariencia de que Dark Tranquillity iba a ser una de las grandes del Metal. Veran en este disco tambien, tonos melodicos y Riffs himnotizantes, que te llevan a un viaje musical basntante interesante. Aunque personalmente, no me gusta la voz de Anders Fridén en este disco, sera algo que definira el sonido de la banda hasta estos dias.

Aunque todos sus discos posteriores son de una calidad similar, el unico que vendria siendo el "malo" de la banda sin ser catastrofico, pero que si deja mucho que deseear es el disco "Haven" que auqnue con un sonido impecable como sus predecesores si deja unos vacios grandicimos como el uso excesivo de teclados y demasiada experimentacion.

Despues de Haven todos los discos continuan siendo muy buenos, que aunque es verdad que el sonido a madurado de como era en la decada de los 90´s sigue siendo una banda de culto. La recomiendo bastante.

Discografia de Symphony X

Género: Progressive Power Metal

Sympony X es una banda proveniente de Estados Unidos, y personalmente una de mis fbandas favoritas de todo el Metal. Esta banda se caracteriza por ser una banda titanica y representante del Progressive Metal. Con un sonido impecable, una tecnicidad en los intrumentos que en muy pocas bandas podras encontrar y seguramente una banda que a todos los metaleros les va a encantar.

Con una alineacion que contiene a Michael Romeo, conocido guitarrista que tiene una tecnica impresionante, con el cantante actual Russie Allen que pertenecio a Ayreon, y con la participacion de Michael LePond.

Desde su primer disco titulado homonimamente, se podia preveer el exito de esta banda. Con el album "Symphony X" la banda se abre al mundo con un sonido increiblemente trabajado con solos tanto de bajos, guitarras como de teclados que son increibles. El siguiente trabajo "The Damnation Game" a mi parecer el mejor que tiene esta banda, con un sonido mucho mas madurado mas cuajado, da la impresion que es una banda impresionante.

Este sonido se mantuvo hasta su ultimo trabajo "Paradise Lost", que es mucho mas tirado hacia la progresividad donde se pierde ampliamante la tecnicidad de la musica, que se concentra mas en los Riffs pegajosos y pesados, que en otros aspectos de la musica de Symphony X.

En general es una banda que merece ser escuchada, un talento impresionante, y que ciertamente es poco reconocida en el mundo del Metal.

Discografia de Sacramentum

Género: Melodic Black/Death Metal

Sacramentum es una banda proveniente de Suecia, formada en 1990 y que esta conformada por solo 3 integrantes, pero que a finales de los años 90 lograron una gran popularidad en la Europa nórdica.

La banda se caracteriza, como muy pocas, en combinar dos de los géneros mas extremos del metal, con el aditivo de un toque melódico, y finalmente haciendo una ejecución perfecta de este género. De esta banda me parece sorprendente, la combinación entre los ritmos rápidos, los riffs pesados, pero sin abandonar la melodía que conforma el sonido característico de la banda.

Aunque la banda solo logro sacar tres disco antes de que los problemas llegaran, estos discos dejan mucho donde explorar, ya que son discos ejecutados a la perfección, con temas líricos enfocados hacia la muerte y la oscuridad, logran atrapar tus oídos de una manera impresionante.

Como ya lo había dicho antes, Sacramentum trabaja velocidades bastante altas, pero esto no es una constante, ya que hay ciertas partes donde puedes encontrar partes mucho más melódicas, lentas y con un ambiente un tanto melancólico. Los riffs de Sacramentum son bastante hipnóticos, te embarcan en un viaje bastante interesante, que si eres fanático de el Black o el Death Metal, sabrás apreciarlo.

Es una banda que no es apta para todo el publico metalero, ya que combina muchos aspectos de la música extrema, siempre es un poco pesado de escuchar y te cansas bastante rápido, pero es una banda muy muy buena, que vale la pena escuchar.

Género: Progressive Metal

Dream Theater es una banda proveniente de Estados Unidos, y símbolo indudable del Progressive Metal en todo el mundo. Con la participacion de grandes músicos como lo son Pretucci y Myung, hacen de Dream Theater una banda con un fuerte musical bastante alto.

La banda empieza su carrera bajo el nombre de Majestic, pero luego en 1986 se lo cambiaron a Dream Theater. Esta es una banda que es excelente en todos sus aspectos, que te dejara bastante agrado por su gran calidad musical, una música muy buena, con tonos pasivos y otros mucho mas agresivos, con una independencia instrumental bastante excelente y que te fuerzan a escuchar las canciones una y otra vez, y cada vez que la escuchas descubres algo nuevo.

Debo admitir que los solos de esta banda son impresionantes, a veces la voz opaca mucho el trabajo de Petrucci o de Rudess el tecladista. Pero la voz también le da cierto aire progresivo a la banda que es la clave escencial del sonido de Dream Theater. Otro trabajo sobresaliente es el de el recién salido de la banda Mike Portnoy el baterista, ya que su control de tiempos tanto en ritmos rápidos como en lentos es increíble, no deja espacio para ningún error.

En Dream theater no hay ningún disco que de verdad te deje decepcionado, es verdad que hay unos mejores que otros, pero en si hay una gran calidad musical en toda la historia de la banda sin dejar ningún disco en el olvido.

Si te gusta el Progressive Metal es una discografia que no puedes dejar pasar. La subí en 320kb para que tengan una calidad de sonido alta, ya que esta banda se lo merece en su totalidad. Si tal vez tocas un instrumento y quieres nuevos retos esta es una banda que te puede ofrecer un largo tiempo de distracción.
